Testimonials
Great place to stay. Our hosts, Howard &Cheryl were so accommodating and the scenery & wildlife viewing was amazing & so was the horseback riding! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Cheryl and Howard are great hosts and made us very welcome, the Banana Cream Pie was to die for. Being able to watch Elk and Deer from the verandah was very special and the horses and dogs are just awesome. Home away from home. Thank you for a great stay.

About us
Wyoming High Country Lodge, is a year round resort tucked away in a high alpine meadow in the middle of the Big Horn Mountains of North Central Wyoming. A special and remote vacation spot that most can only dream of, Wyoming High Country Lodge is a truly unique property. At 9000 ft, the lodge is visited daily by Elk, Moose and Deer. Summer comes late in the mountains where we frequently get snow in the middle of June. The summer season at this altitude is short and exhilarating with lots of sunny days, cool breezes and perfect evenings.
We offer a unique and varied experience to visitors. The Big Horns have over 1500 miles of trails leading you wilderness areas, dozens of waterfalls, Native American spiritual sites and uncounted valleys and streams. With such an abundance of exploration available, you'll never see everything.
During your stay with us you can go on extended horseback rides, explore the high country on an ATV, ride through first growth forests on your mountain bike and perhaps even discover an unnamed waterfall while on a hike.
